Transforming Life Experience 2016
November 10-13, 2016
You are invited to join Dawn Albinger and Julie Robson at the luxurious Tivoli Retreat for a long weekend of creative exploration and play. As we lead you through a range of devising processes used to create our one-woman shows and ensemble productions, you will create performance material based on the (re)writing of life stories. Discover their potential for personal, cultural and artistic transformation, ignite a passion for contemporary performance, and illuminate your own capacity to create and perform. The weekend is also driven by an emphasis on:
Quietude: What happens when we slow down and begin to observe and listen into the landscape we have arrived into? What emerges when we observe and listen to our inner landscape? What can we create from this space of quietude?
Presence: What do we mean when we say someone has presence? What do we have to do to be present? What are the applications of presence both in performance and in life?
Passion: What is really important to me? What is something that holds my attention, or that I think about a lot? What lights my inner fire? How can I begin to create performance material from my passions and preoccupations?
The Tivoli Retreat is a modern boutique style health retreat. Situated in the green rolling hills of Noosa hinterland, it offers privacy and luxury. It has been designed with training areas and also boasts a large wood fired sauna and magnesium plunge pool. It is the perfect space to host this intimate creative performance workshop.
