Quietude and Performance

A 5-day workshop produced by Ladyfinger at the Brisbane Powerhouse and led by Jill Greenhalgh (Wales) for artists wanting to explore how to build space around their work and embrace the power of stillness, quietness and presence.
Jill Greenhalgh has been a professional theatre maker since 1978. Her career as a performer, director and producer has primarily focused on experimental physical practice. In 1986, she founded The Magdalena Project, an International Network of Women in Contemporary Theatre, which has since grown into a worldwide organisation with ongoing activities in 25 countries (www.themagdalenaproject.org). Jill has also been a Lecturer in Performance Studies at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth,, specialising in devised physical performance, women’s theatre and actor training. She has two daughters and lives on the west coast of rural Wales.
